I am currently doing some writing for Blood Bourne, the final part of my trilogy and here is a passage for it:
The first time the change came to our doorstep was when a 400-year-old vampire called Orpheus “came to visit”, lacking a better description. Orpheus (a moniker like my Puppet Master, whose real name is lost through the sands of time) had hazel eyes, a medium brown complexion and dark brown hair that came down to his shoulders. Orpheus had befriended a lonely jeweller, unaware that he was a vampire. When Orpheus became ill, the jeweller feared his friend would die, so he turned him. Orpheus showed his gratitude by joining those pilgrims on the Mayflower, abandoning the jeweller anyway and taking vampirism to the New World. It has become part of the mythos amongst vampires that the plague that “killed” some natives was more than just European illness, but that Orpheus made himself his native undead army.
